AJPWA demands adequate compensation to Dubi Gali accident victims | | | JAMMU, July 31: Expressed deep shock and grief over Dubi Gali accident in which four persons were killed and several left seriously injured, the All J&K Passengers' Welfare Association (AJPWA) demanded Rs 10 lakh to the deceased family and Rs 5 lakhs to seriously injured beside Rs 2 lakh to treatment of those who sustained minor injuries who faced mentally trauma in accident.While addressing a meeting of the Association, Sharma lambasted the government for its utter failure to overcome the often occurring accidents in the state, in which thousands of people have lost the lives and family lost their earning hands.He asked the government to make a strategical policy to control the frequent occurrence of accidents in the state, which is matter of grave concern. He said that Omar led coalition government had failed to put a check on the accidents but people have no option to go where. He said, as per the reports, the accident occurred due to negligence of driver so a proper enquiry should be conducted and driver and owner should be made accountable for this accident. |
