| Army jawan killed, four injured in two road mishaps | | | | Udhampur, Aug 1 : An army jawan was killed while four others sustained injuries in two different road incidents which took place in Udhampur here today, police said. The deceased has been identified namely as Driver L/NK Prdeep Kumar while the injured have been identified as SM Jagbir Singh and N/K Jitinder Kumar Sahu.According to the police reports an Army Gypsy 25, AD Battalion bearing regd no12B112404W on its way from Jammu to Udhampur met with accident near Mand National Highway when driver lost control over the vehicle today morning at around 10:30am. Soon after the accident police rushed the injured to spot and took the injured persons to Army Hospital Udhampur where one of the injured was pronounced brought dead. Meanwhile the Tikri Police registered the case and started investigations in this regard. Yet in another road accident an Alto car bearing regd no JK14A-5310 hit a road side hillock near Flata National Highway resulting into injuries to the occupants of the vehicle namely Mangat Ram and Chet Ram of Flata. Police registered a case and started investigation. |
