Family of killed youth demands inquiry | | | Early Times Report Samba, Aug 1: As the mystery continues to shroud upon the death of one Bhanu Pratap Singh, his family members expressing lack of confidence in the Police investigations today demanded high level probe into the mysterious death. Pertinent to mention here that one 30-year old married youth Bhanu Pratap along with his wife Madhu and daughter had been gone to his sister in law's house was allegedly found with electric wire in his hands at Sanoora village in Ghagwal town of Samba on Saturday. Alleging foul play and police inaction till date, the aggrieved family members today alleged that mysterious absence of Madhu and her sister from the scene is further indicating a finger of suspicion. Alleging inaction of police in this regard, Jagdeep Singh, father of the victim, today said, "I had no faith in Police and thus I demand for a high level inquiry." He also alleged that there were efforts to hush up the issue. "A day after death we were informed that Bhanu Pratap got electric shock and admitted in District Hospital Samba where we found him dead," said Jagdeep Singh further adding, " we smell some fishy in whole episode." Meanwhile turning down allegations of inaction, police authorities said that an FIR has been registered at Police Post Rajpura and investigation is going on in this regard. |
