Jammu, Aug 1 : In a Letters Patent Appeal filed by Dr Ishtyak Ahmed Mir against the June 2, 2014 judgment of a Single Judge whereby the official respondents were directed to consider claim of Dr Arvind Kohli to the next higher post of Assistant Professor, CVTS, on the basis of the experience gained on ad-hoc basis while working as a lecturer in CVTS since 2002 after ignoring the superior claims of the appellant who is senior to him as lecturer, CVTS, a high court division bench today directed that the claim of any person falling in the zone of consideration would not be ignored. The division bench of Justice Virender Singh and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat, after hearing the two sides, observed that it goes with saying that while considering the case of Dr Arvind Kohli for the post of Asssistant Professor in CVTS, Super Speciality in GMC Jammu, the claim of the appellant and for that matter any other person falling in the zone of consideration shall not be ignored by the official respondents. The bench also directed that this exercise has to be carried out strictly in accordance with rules occupying the field and disposed of the LPA .(JNF) |
