Harshdev seeks adequate staff in Ramnagar hospitals | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 1: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) chairman Harsh Dev Singh has flayed the Health department for acute deficiency of doctors and Para medical staff in SDH Ramnagar besides other PHC's, Dispensaries and Health centres of Ramnagar constituency. According to press release, he lambasted the Health department authorities in particular for transferring even the meager staff which was earlier posted in SDH Ramnagar without providing any substitutes. He said that it was most shocking and utterly distressing to note that remote and far flung area health institutions in Ramnagar had virtually become defunct due to the non availability of desired medical staff. He deplored that all representations and reminders in this regard made to the concerned health authorities had fallen an deaf ears which had forced the inhabitants of Ramnagar to hold demonstrations today in Ramnagar besides blocking of roads and organizing protests. Warning the Health Deptt. authorities to take immediate note of the emergent situation created in Ramnagar, he sought deployment and early posting of adequate number of doctors and para medical staff in SDH Ramnagar and other institutions in the far flung areas of Ramnagar failing which the people would be forced to observe complete shutdown besides taking to other agitational means. He demanded filling up of all vacant posts of doctors by holding fresh recruitments against available vacancies. He further pointed out that there was huge scope for additional appointments of doctors and pera medical staff under NRHM where under hundreds of crores were provided to the State every year. He however regretted that the casual and apathetic approach of concerned authorities had deprived the general masses of the benefits envisaged under the aforesaid scheme. Urging upon the Health Minister to address the health related issues on priority, he condemned the attitude of health Deptt. in posting more than 75% of the newly appointed doctors in Kashmir region to the utter neglect and deprivation of Jammu region. |
