Bhim Singh joins India-haters, asks Modi to review decision | Indo-Pak talks | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 19: Bhim Singh, the so-called chief patron of Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and who have suffered defeat after defeat in Jammu & Kashmir, today disappointed the peace-loving people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh by joining India-haters like Geelani, Mirwaiz, Shah and Malik and opposing the decision of the BJP-led NDA government to cancel talks with Pakistan, which were scheduled to take place at Islamabad between India Foreign Secretary Sujata Singh and her Pakistani counterpart on august 25. The Government of India cancelled the scheduled meeting on Monday following the controversial meeting between Pakistan High Commission Abdul Basit and J&K Hurriyat Conference leader Shabir Ahmad Shah at New Delhi on Monday. The Indian Foreign Secretary had advised the Pakistan High Commission not to hold meetings with Kashmiri secessionists, saying the same could derail the dialogue process, but Basit did not pay any heed to her advice and went ahead to hold talks with Shah. On Tuesday, Basit also held meetings with separatists despite the Government of India's tough message that New Delhi took a strong exception to the meeting between Basit and Shah. Paradoxically, the Congress, the CPI-M and a few others, including the likes of Kapil Kak, former Air Force official, instead of hailing the decision of the Government of India, criticized it. Not just this, Bhim singh also jumped on to their bandwagon and denounced Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the decision was "unacceptable" and that the Government must review its August 18 decision. In fact, he used a very strong language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and acted like an agent of India haters. Something is fundamentally wrong with this JKNPP leader. Indeed, Bhim Singh had caused harm to the country by making common cause with Pakistan and third rate Hurriyat mercenaries. |
