Jammu, Aug 19: The Association of Timber Industries (Regd) Jammu, in its meeting held under the Presidentship of Th. Jai Singh has criticized J&K State Forest Corporation for charging and recovery of development funds @ Rs 1 per cent from the successful bidders (traders) from August 1 2014 based on the decision taken by MD(SFC) in the 66th meeting held on 4-3-2014, vide SFC order no. 393 of 2014. The ATI Chief has further mentioned that timber traders purchased timber from SFC, for earning their livelihood at exorbitant rates and a nominal discount is being given by the SFC, which was reduced many a times hence charging of development funds from poor traders is not fair and such recovery be dispensed with in the interest of timber trade. |
