Adaptation of Western culture responsible for heart diseases: Dr Dave | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 19: Famous cardiologist Dr. Raj Dave today said that adaptation of western culture is the main reason behind the rising number of heart patients in the country. He said stress; smoking, western foods are the roots of the coronary diseases. Dave was addressing media men in Super Specialty Hospital Jammu here today during a day-long workshop in complex cardio vascular interventions in association with Department of Cardiology Government Medical College Jammu. It was fifth of its kind of workshop being conducted in Department. The workshop was an initiation of activities to keep abreast with the latest in international trends in Cardiology. In this pretext workshop about complex cardiovascular interventions has been organized in the department wherein Dr. Raj Dave is (MD, FACC, FSCAI) Chief Medical Executive, Holy Spirit Cardiovascular Institute, Chairman, Department of Cardiology-Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories Pennsylvania-USA shall be the chief faculty along with Dr. Sushil Sharma, Head of the Department of Cardiology. Dr Dave shall be displaying his expertise in this field and patients from Jammu shall be highly benefitted by his skills. Dr Sushil has been organizing workshops in different aspects of intervention cardiology regularly and has a vision for developing complex coronary and endovascular interventions at GMC Jammu.
