Chhari Mubarak of Matta Chandi reaches Gulabgarh Padder | Yatra crosses 50000 mark, 20000 expected at Gulabgarh today | | Kishtwar, Aug 19 : Heavy rush of yatries was witnessed in annual Machail yatra in Kishtwar District as the Chhari Mubarak of Matta Chandi has reached Gulabgarh Padder today evening under tight security cover. The Chari Yatra left the Kishtwar town at around 11 Am today with thousands of devotees chanting bhjans enroute. Before it left for Gulabgarh Padder, around 60 Kms from Kishtwar, the Chari was kept for Darshan at Parade Ground Kishtwar, where the thousands of devotees paid obeisance and seeks the blessings of goddess Chandi. According to the reports, more than 50000 yatries have paid obeisance so far at the Chandi Matta temple since the yatra begins officially on August 1, 2014. As per the reports from Gulabgarh, more than 20000 pilgrims have arrived at Gulabgarh in last 24 hours for onwards journey to Machail temple. Due to heavy rush of the pilgrims, the number of the yatris visited the temple will cross 1 lac mark in next few days. After night halt at Gulabgarh, the Chari Yatra will leave for Chishoti tomorrow before it reaches Machail on Thursday.
