Srinagar, Aug 20: The last session of the 11th J&K Assembly commencing from August 25 is likely to be a stormy affair with the Opposition all set to corner the NC-led government on a host of issues. The opposition parties are gearing themselves to mat Omar government over host of issues. Both PDP and BJP are all set to corner the coalition government over issues of corruption and miss-governance. "We will raise issues related to west Pakistani refugees, PoK refugees and border dwellers apart from empowerment of the Panchayats in the state," said BJP leader Ashok Khajuria. Meanwhile the Assembly Secretariat has received 345 questions from 39 MLAs. Those who have not asked any question include, Aga Ruhulah, Javed Dar, Reshpal Singh, AjazJaan of National Conference, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, IftikharHussain Ansari, Abdul RazakZawura and Abdul GafarSofi of PDP, Durga Das of BJP and Balwant Singh Mankotia of Panthers Party. Pertinently, Mehbooba Mufti and Muzaffer Husain Baigh of PDP and Jugal Kishore Sharma of BJP who were elected to the Parliament from Anantnag, Baramullah and Jammu-Poonch constituencies respectively have ceased to be the members of the 11th Assembly of the state. |
