NSS Unit GDC Kishtwar observes Sadbhavna Diwas

Kishtwar, Aug 20: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar celebrated Sadbhavna Divas with a pledge of outstanding contribution towards promotion of communal harmony and National Integration. The programme was presided over by Dr. KK Sharma where, in Dr. AshiqHussain graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Earlier the NSS Program Coordinator Prof. S.K. Sen in his welcome address said that the day is celebrated on the eve of Birth Anniversary of Late Prime Minister of India, Sh. Rajiv Gandhi with an aim to promote National Integration and communal Harmony among masses. On the occasion a symposium on the topic Communal Harmony-A basic need for the sustenance of one's Religion was organized in which AaqibFarooq and TashiLamoo both students of Part 1st were adjudged as winners. In his address Dr. AshiqHussain stressed the need to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of Cast, Religion, region or Language. He stressed the students for participation in the activities which promote communal harmony and Goodwill.
