NMC demands regularization of daily rated workers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 20: Stressing need for early regularization the services of all daily rated workers, President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today asked government to take decision in the next cabinet meeting. Shastri said that these daily rated workers facing serious financial hardships due to inflation and price hike as their services have not been regularized for the last 20 years to 25 years nor they are getting their salary in time adding that about fifty five thousand families are involved with these daily wagers forming parts of state electorate and these voters are likely to play major role in the coming elections state Assembly. He also urged that sincere efforts at the level of Chief Minister are required to take such a bold initiative to regularize the services of these poor daily rated workers before the announcement of election date schedule by the election commission of India for ensuing assembly election , so that confusion and uncertainty among the working class on this vital issues will come to end. Shastri also urged Omar Abdullah to release 10 percent DA due from January last and 4th installment of the 6th pay commission arrears for state government employees and pensioners in cash, adding that NMC demand release of 10 percent DA due from January last and 4th installment of the 6th pay commission arrears in favor of state government employees and pensioners in cash. |
