Jammu, Aug 20: Dozens of employees and workers held a protest demonstration today at Press Club Jammu under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Co-ordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) demanding withdrawal of National Pension Act. This protest was observed on the call of All India State Govt. Employees Federation(AISGEF) to demand the withdrawal of National Pension Act filling of all vacant posts through permanent appointments immediate wage and regularization for all temporary employees like daily wagers casual, contractual, Anganwadi, Asha and other workers and implementation of Labour laws etc, Gurmeet Singh, Gen Secretary, JKCCTU while addressing the gathering at Press Club, Jammu said that State and central govt, is pursuing the anti-employees policies which are very harmful for the entire working class. He said the policy of outsourcing and privatisation and attack on social security system like pension has aggravated situation and we are forced to come on the streets now, he demanded the state Govt to implement the promised made to the unions regarding regularisation of temporary workers and their wages increase also demanded abolition of pay anomalies, Holding of D.P.C, merger of 50% D.A , withdrawal of National pension act .Release of 10% DA, implementation of SRO 59, insurance policy for all temporary workers etc. |
