Jammu, Aug 21: Ongoing 45th KVS Regional Sports Meet of Skating and Chess under 17 and 19, held at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu today entered next phase of competitions.
Matches between different categories in various events were conducted and the events conducted included Road Races in Quards and In-Line events and forth and fifth rounds of Chess for U-17 and 19 Category.
"Final Round of Chess game will be played between the players in the age groups of U-17 and U-19 tomorrow followed by Prize distribution function, official spokesperson said. Atleast 190 students and 31 teachers - escorts from Kendriya Vidyalayas in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and J&K states are participating in this meet. A S Gill, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region today had a visit to the ongoing Sports Meet at K V No.1, Jammu. During his visit he interacted with the players and escorts and reviewed the arrangements for the competitions. |
