Kathua, Aug 21 : A one day Financial Inclusion and Literacy campaign was organised at Government Higher Secondary School Hiranagar in Kathua district by National Bank For Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) to sensitize and create awareness among school children about Financial Literacy. The main participants were Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, Kathua, R K Kalsotra, LBO, Kathua, Racchpal Singh, Branch Manager, SBI, Dayalachak, Mohan Lal, Branch Manager, J&K Bank, Hiranagar, Rajesh Paba, Manager, J&K Bank, Dhanater Singh, Principal, GHSS, Hiranagar, lecturers, teachers and student of GHSS, Hiranagar. On this occassion, DDM, NABARD informed them about the range of financial services viz. savings, credit, insurance, pensions, payments, local & international transfers etc. He explained about the different facilities available from the bank and how to develop using bank credit, particularly education loan, DRI etc.A quiz completion was held on the occasion and prizes were distributed.R K Kalsotra, LBO, Kathua interacted with the students and explained the importance of skill training. He informed that the training provided at SBI, R-SETI is free of cost, where boarding & lodging facility is also available. Racchpal Singh, Branch Manager, SBI, Dayalachak, interacted with the students & informed them about the initiatives undertaken under financial inclusion by SBI. |
