Rajouri, Aug 22: Students of Post Graduate College Rajouri today held a protest before the office of Deputy Commissioner and demanded immediate action against those unidentified youth who after hitting a BSc 1st year student near college campus decamped safely. Students under the leadership of MohdSohaib and MohdAltaf , both ABVP leaders informed the principal of the college who forwarded their application to SSP for legal and immediate action against the accused. The student received some minor injuries in the hit and run case and his clothes were also damaged. All the students later approached Mubassarlatifi, SSP, who after paying patience hearing directed SHO to take necessary action on the complaint of the students.
When contacted inspector Yashpal Singh, SHO said that it was not hit and run case but could have occurred due to rash driving. "An officer has been deputed to look into the complaint of the students and also to instruct the Auto Rickshaw drivers and private vehicle owners to drive slowly near the college campus" said SHO.
