Kishtwar, Aug 22: As a part of major jolt to Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in Kishtwar, the party Youth General Secretary Khalid Mir along with several supporters and others joined Awami Iteehad Front (AIF) in presence of President AIF Rabia Bajji at Dak Banglow Kishtwar. The President AIF Rabia Bajji while welcoming new entrants also declared Khalid Mir as Awami Ittehad Front candidate from Kishtwar constituency. Highlighting the aim and objective of her party to work for the welfare and betterment of people of Jammu and Kashmir, the President AIF said that people of Doda, Kishtwar & Ramban have been deprived from their basic rights. She said that she is hopeful that Khalid Mir will move the party agenda forward by bringing it at the door step of the common people and exhorted people of Kishtwar to vote in favor of party candidate Khalid Mir. President AIF also informed that during her five days tour of region, names of party candidates from five other seats as well were also declared. Party president also nominated Sharika Banoo as President Students wing AIF Kishtwar and Gulnaza Begum as in charge women wing Kishtwar. Meanwhile in his thanks giving address, Khalid Mir assured the people of Kishtwar that he will work with zeal and zest for the betterment of his people. Member State Committee of AIF Dr Rehmatullah Khora was also president on this occasion.
Among the prominent who joined AIF today included Chowdhary Gulzar ( Chairman Gujjar and Bakerwal cell PDP), Imtiyaz Hussain, Javed Iqbal, Haqnawaz Mir, Javed Ahmed Sheikh, Mohammad Israel, Tanveer Ahmed and others. |
