Minor domestic help physically abused, tortured by Jammu businessman
Police acts ignorant, abusive!

JAMMU, Aug 22: Bruised and battered buttocks of 11 years old boy narrated a gruesome story of a cruel employer who tortured the young domestic help Brijesh since last seven to eight months, the reason for which, still eludes the victim's family.
Choked, his father Suresh,a resident of Behriech, Uttar Pradesh (UP), unable to speak to this scribe over the incident just looked in oblivion while narrating the incident in broken tenor saying "Dawai ke ek hazaar le lo aur Jammu chor ke bhag Jao warna anjaam bura hoga", were the words of a Jammu based businessman into whose custody the victim have been languishing since past months.
Brijesh couldn't sit for last two days as he was severely beaten up as his father wanted to take him back to home village. Father of the victim narrated that few months ago, he had sent his child to Jammu to his brother who sent him to the house of a businessman as domestic help without informing them.
"Now when mother of victim fell ill, she asked me to take Brijesh to her and I came to Jammu and inquired from my brother about my son", said Suresh, adding that he came to know that his brother had sent his son to the house of a businessman.
"When I went to the house of the businessman, he tied me and beat my son in front of me and when I resisted he beat me also," alleged Suresh. He further said that after hours of beating, when Brijesh fainted, the businessman let them free and threatened them to go back to their village.
After that, father of Brijesh along with some other persons took the victim to police post TalabTillo and narrated the entire incident. "Later, a man in Khakhi tried to prevaricate with the situation, demanded and accepted Rs 2200 from the poor family and asked them to hush up the matter", alleged father of victim.
He further alleged that the businessman also threatened them to go back to their village lest the consequences would be dire. Today in the evening, both Brijesh and his father went to Government Hospital Sarwal and got Medico Legal Case (MLC) registered there.
The incident when brought into the notice of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, he gave a strong assurance about taking up the case and anyone found guilty into it to be taken to task.
