Protest against SHO RS Pura for not lodging FIR in attempt to murder case 8/28/2014 1:02:40 AM Jammu, Aug 27: People of R. S Pura town held protest in the premises of Sub District Magistrate and Sub Divisional Police Officer R S Pura and later when they realized that both the Sub District Officers were not present in their offices, the angry protesters blocked the R S Pura Jammu main road and staged a protest demonstration against R S Pura Police, alleging that the SHO denied registration of FIR against accused persons in an attempt to murder case. The protesters alleged that Sudesh Kumari w/o Swaran Lal went to Police Station R S Pura for registration of FIR against Rajesh Chhabra alias Prince Chhabra and his accomplices who attempted to kill her husband Swaran Lal resident of ward No. 4, R S Pura on 22 August. She narrated her grievance to the concerned police officials, but instead of taking action against the accused persons, they abused her turned her out. The protestors alleged that that Rajesh Chhabra alias Prince Chhabra S/o Bal Krishan Chhabra called her husband Swaran Lal telephonically at his residence, situated at w no. 6 in R. S Pura where they brutally assaulted to kill him . He was referred to Govt. Medical College Jammu from where he was shifted to a Ludhiana Hospital for better treatment. Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand when contacted said that there was communication gap between complainant and police, adding in his earlier statement the victim told police that he fell down which caused injuries to him. He further said that FIR in this connection has been registered against accused persons.
