| Vehicle lifter held alongwith stolen Scooty at Kullian | | | Early Times Report
R S Pura/Jammu, Aug 28: Police arrested a vehicle lifter alongwith a stolen Activa Scooty during a naka checking at Police Post Kullian under Police Station R S Pura.
"The accused has identified as Sohan Lal son of Suraj Prakash Resident of Rehari Mohalla Jammu, police said.
"On specific information , a police team raised a special naka by ASI Gurmeet Singh under the supervision of SHO Miran Sahib Sanjeev Chib near Police Post Kullian, and intercepted a youth on his suspicious movements particularly on seeing police party. As he failed to give satisfactorily replies to nak team, the police put him on sustained questioning and he spilled the beans, police sources said.
They said, "The accused was arrested on spot and a scooty bearing regd no JK02F- 5661.
During the questioning, accused revealed that he had stolen the scooty from New Plot Jammu and was on the way to R S Pura to sell the same for the Rupee seven thousands to the customer of R S Pura.
Police have registered a case against him and further investigations are on. |
