State Govt fails to connect itself with common masses: Wafa | | | Early Times Report
Nagrota, Aug 28: Asserting that National Conference was facing the challenge of its existence and survival, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and candidate for Nagrota Assembly segment Hussain Ali Wafa today said that 2014 polls will be the battle of conscious, vision and ideology and those who have sacrificed interest of state and people will vanish from the political horizon of Jammu and Kashmir forever. Speaking at a worker meeting at village Sarot here today, Wafa said that PDP will fight the upcoming polls for a decisive mandate in its favour, in order to bring a considerable change on governance and development front. He underlined that present regime has utterly failed to connect itself with the common masses and gap between people and ruling party leaders has been widening. He said that rural areas were the worst victim of the wrong policies of successive National Conference regime and called upon party workers to educate the masses to about the revolutionary steps which taken by PDP Patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed during his tenure as Chief Minister of the State. He said that three years of PDP rule under the party patron Mufti Muhammad Sayed was the 'golden era' in state and even today people were comparing 60 years of government with three years of governance. "The overwhelming public support to PDP's agenda for peace and prosperity is obvious from the results of Lok Sabha polls and the party is going to consolidate this massive public support further in the upcoming Assembly elections in the interest of peace and stability," he said and assured that PDP would continue its endeavour to work for the welfare of people of J&K and its people. Former Member Legislative Council Ved Mahajan, Ch Iqbal Naib Sarpanch, Ch Rehmat Ali Niab Sarpanch, Khalid Choudhary, Abdul Aziz, Ch Bashir Niab Sarpanch, Bagh Hussin, Haji Mir Hussin, Ch Mir Hussin, Qari Ali Ahbar, Haji Fazal Ahmed, Milkhi Ram and Mohan Lal were also addressed the gathering. |
