| DB directs SDMs, SHOs & Ors to file individual compliance report | | PIL regarding noise pollution in Jammu | | | Jammu, Aug 28 (JNF) : In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Vasu Dubey regarding violation of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 read with various provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and seeking direction to implement guidelines issued by the Supreme Court, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Adv Varut Kumar Gupta for the PIL, took serious note for not complying the order of the High Court by SP Jammu and District Magistrate Jammu and directed Municipal Corporation, Jammu, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, All Sub Divisional Magistrates of Jammu district, All Tehsildars, All Executive Officers of the Municipal Committee and All Station House Officers of Jammu District have also not submitted their individual compliance report till date. Division Bench directed Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra to get the individual report from all these quarters within three weeks' time and place it on record. At this stage, it has been brought to our notice that in his report Sr. Superintendent of Police, Jammu has stated that FIR 105/2014 has been registered in Police Station, Bishnah. Station House Officer, Bishnah would apprise the Court about the investigation of the said criminal case. |
