Jammu, Aug 29: In order to give undue benefit to  favourites, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda, disregarding set norms, approved a panel for three Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers (ReTs) without inviting applications for the said posts.
Sources told Early Times that Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Assar had prepared a panel of three ReT teachers required for Government Upper Public School Jathi allegedly to provide benefit to the members of a particular family and accordingly CEO Doda, deliberately not let the advertisement published in the daily newspaper depriving the other deserving candidates of the area. “ZEO Assar prepared the panel under the influence a political strong people of the area in connivance with Sarpanch of Panchayat Khotyari Khurshid Ahmad Mir, Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Panch Jathi, and Headmaster High School Jathi Nazir Hussain Wani as their consent is required to final the select panel,” they alleged. After the approval of select panel, the notice had to be displayed in the office of concerned CEO and ZEO Office to seek objections, but in this case this practice was not done intentionally to adjust their blue eyed, they added. Surprisingly the people whose names appeared in the panel list for the posts of ReT teachers are related to each other, in which Ashfa Tabassum daughter of Atta Mohammad resident of village Jathi and Nusrat Tabsassum daughter of Atta Mohammad resident of village Jathi are sisters while Shahid Waqar son of Mohammad Yousaf (retired ZEPO) and related to the other candidates, they informed. “When this news came into the light in the areas, some people approached to the CEO Doda regarding this issue and were informed that office has forwarded  advertisement to the Information Department for publication in newspapers, when asked for DIP number, office provided fake number just to mislead them,” they said. When contacted Director School Education Jammu (DSE), HR Pakhroo said “I will take strong notice of this issue and will write a letter to CEO Doda for seeking explanation by tomorrow if some discrepancies were found appropriate action will be taken against the erring officials” DSE further said that we want to bring more and more transparency in the work of education department and appropriate remedial measures will be introduced for the betterment of the department.
