Burglary at medico's house, valuabales worth Rs 10 lakh stolen | | | Jammu, Aug 30: Burglars continue to give sleepless nights to the people living in outskirts of winter capital of state and a gang of burglars struck at the residence of a retired doctor in Roop Nagar area and decamped with valuables worth Rs 6 lakh besides Rs 4 lakh in cash. As per police sources, incident took place on Friday night ,when some burglars broke into the residence of Dr Jagdish Thapa, (Retd) HoD Psychiatric, at Roop Nagar and decamped with 20 tola gold jewelry worth Rs 6.00 lakh and cash amounting upto Rs 4 lakh. "The family members were sleeping when the burglary took place, police sources said quoting complainant. "It was in the morning when the family members realized that theft had taken place and accordingly, lodged a complaint with the Janipur Police, sources added. After having information, a police team rushed to the spot, police said further adding, "the service of FSL was also pressed in this connection to identify the finger prints at the burglary spot." Meanwhile a police have registered a case in this connection. |
