Bid to grab ex- MLC's property foiled, two held with forged documents

Jammu, Aug 30: Police today claimed to have foiled a bid of grabbing property with the arrest of two persons alongwith forged documents for a property in Roop nagar a posh locality of winter capital belonging to former Member Legislative Council (MLC) M Y Teng. "On the base of complaint lodged by ex MLC MY Teng, Trikuta Nagar police arrested two persons with forged documents of the plot claimed by ex MLC while hunt on to arrest two more accused involved in the case who presently are evading their arrest, sources said. According to police sources, ex MLC in his complaint lodged with police has alleged that some persons are making bid to grab the plot belonged to him at Roop Nagar with the help of forged documents including fake agreement to sell.
"Based on the complaint police lodged FIR having No 160/2014 u/s 420,476,468,471,120 B against four persons and arrested two of them, sources said adding, " the arrested accused have been identified as Rohit Mahajan of H-3, 5A Trikuta Nagar and Shiv Kumar Gupta of H-18, Sec 1A,Triktua Nagar Jammu. "Two persons who are absconding have been identified as Joginder Singh of Nagrota and Shabir Ahmed Shah of Dalpatian Mohalla, Police sources said while adding, "man hunt is on to nab them."
Pertinently, Rohit Mahajan of sector 5-A, Trikuta Nagar has filed complainant before court, few weeks ago, stating that he purchased the plot No 1-P measuring 60'x90' situated in sector 5,Roop Nagar, JDA Housing Colony from Mohd Yousouf Teng of H- 311,EP Flat Wazarat Road, Jammu ."The ex MLC as per papers of his allotment with regard to the said plot to complainant and it was agreed by him to sell the same plot to him for construction amount of Rs 40 lakh out of which he paid an advance amount of Rs 15 lakh to the ex MLC after executing an agreement to sell.'
As per agreement the ex MLC had to take NOC from the JDA authorities for registration of the conveyance deed, but he was delaying the matter on one pretext or other, later he came to know that ex MLC is trying to sell the plot in question which he has already sold to him, the complainant alleged and based on the plaint, court ordered status quo of the plot.
