`Rana's `juicy' speech can't mislead people' | | | JAMMU, Sept 1: National Conference Provincial President (Jammu), Devender Singh Rana today said the NC believed in issue based politics with thrust on public welfare and development. "These are the essentials of a harmonious society where each one, irrespective of caste, creed, colour or region, can live with a sense of dignity and has access to opportunities for progress", he said while castigating those who are creating unwarranted apprehensions by raising different bogies. Rana must know that these juicy statements cannot mislead the people. NC has always given preference to family, relatives and the organization. Rana spoke another lie. He said Omar Abdullah gave a new dimension to governance by involving people in decision making and ensuring that fruits of development reaches the targeted segments of society in a time bound manner. If Rana means Omar strengthened Panchayats, he is wrong. The Panchayat members were made scapegoats. They have no powers and no say in administrative matters. A peon and a class fourth employee even scolds them. NC cannot deliver a sermon on unity, Rana. It is the organization that divided people for petty political issues |
