SVO receives 1327 complaints against Govt officials

JAMMU, Sept 2 : State Vigilance Organization has received around 1327 Complaints from January to June 2014 as per the half yearly report of the organization which was tabled by minister of law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs Mir Saifullah in absence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
As per the report, the major complaints have been received from Revenue and Relief department which are 228 in number, followed by Education department at 156 and 154 from Rural Development Department. These three departments are on the top of list of complaints received by the vigilance organization and there are around 70 complaints against private persons from January to June this year. The department of prisons, SC, ST, OBC, ERA, Geology and mining, Economics and statistics, Hospitality and protocol and the last Employment have zero complaint. So no complaint received by vigilance organization from this department this year so far.
Health department has 72 complaints, Police department at 74,PWD at 48, Social welfare at 32, Municipal Corporations both at Jammu and Srinagar at 63, Food and Supply has around 48, Forest and Social forestry has 52, Animal ans Sheep husbandry is at 26, Agriculture department and SKUAST has around 21 and PDD at 41 in number of complaints received by vigilance organization this year up to June 2014.
There are other departments which have below double figure mark of complaints including State Motor Garage at 02, University at 07,Finance 06, Excise and sales tax at 07, Housing at 06, Technical education at 03, Estate department at 01, SRTC at 03 and many others Industries are having around 31 complaints and most important the department of information is having zero complaint. So the data provided by the vigilance organization indicates that there are immediate need to have an eagles on the departments who are having maximum number of complaints received only half of the year and figure will be much more till the end of the year.
