Bhandari demands counseling Centre for PM Scholarship aspirants at Jammu

Kishtwar, Sept 2: Thakur Randeep Bhandari Congress leader today demanded counseling centre for PM Scholarship's aspirants at Jammu. According to press release, Bhandari said that it was a matter of concern that AICTE has not made any counseling Centre of 'PM Special Scholarship Scheme' for students belonging to Jammu and Leh and asked to go to Kashmir for counseling." The students who are interested to seek this opportunity but they are very poor and not very resourceful and therefore it is difficult for them to go to Kashmir for counseling", he said. Bhandari also demanded release of scholarship for 4,000 students from J&K who got admission under the Prime Minister's special scholarship scheme (PMSS) for session 2013-2014. He has also requested J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Opposition Rajya Sabha Leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, Rajya Sabha MP and President JKPCC Saif-Ud-Din Soz to use their good offices for getting the scholarship released for the remaining 4,000 JK students.
