Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 2 : PDP has alleged that it is sheer inability on the part of coalition government led by National Conference (NC) that employees of various departments are today on strike, taps are running dry and city and its peripheries are in complete commotion. According to press release, PDP leader Hamid Choudhary said that had the government acted well in time and listened to issues confronting employees such a situation could not have arisen where in people have been deprived of even minimum basic requirement of potable water.
The government, he added had been claiming of having inaugurated several water supply schemes and regularized thousands of contractual and ad hoc employees but when it comes to providing potable water to people who had been paying for every drop of it, the government has shown its helplessness and allowed such a commotion to prevail in city and its peripheries. The PDP leader said that aanganwari workers are protesting, Public Health Engineering (PHE) employees are on strike, engineers, dentists, agriculture technocrats and teachers besides a whole lot of government employees are all facing a kind of unrest but government is least bothered about their issues. How can a government ignore its workforce which ultimately is the one who runs the system, asked Hamid Choudhary?.
Urging people to strengthen PDP he said that time has come for the state to witness a 'Big Change'.
He said that visionary policies of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party chief Mehbooba Mufti are sure to develop all three regions of state equitably.
The PDP, he said is committed to redress employees' issues, help youth become self-reliant, give people their due and ensure development in the state in a big way. This, he said can become possible only when people will pin their hopes in PDP and trust its leadership. The assembly elections are round the corner and he urged people to vote for a change. The party, he added has tried to filed good candidates and now it's for the people to show their power of ballot and get rid of corrupt and inefficient representatives who had been be-fooling them for years.
