National Conference succumbing to Center: AAP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: Expressing concerns over the reported demand of shifting of 36,000 Faulty EVMs (20,000 ballot machines and 16,000 control units) from Gujarat to Jammu & Kashmir, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said that the National Conference is kneeling down against centre. Nishant Varma, an Aam Aadmi Party activist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat along with AAP Leaders Deepu Singh Ranotra from Jammu Province and Chander Bhan Bhasin from Kashmir Province in a statement stated that CEO J&K's officers had arrived in Gujarat to receive these faulty machines and were ordered by ECI to take them to J&K for use in forthcoming J&K assembly elections. While briefing to Media, Nishant Varma of AAP Gujarat said that he contacted his counterparts in J&K and read out the facts to them and it also said under enormous political protest from J&K, ECI had cancelled the said shipment of these faulty machines from Gujarat to J&K while the officers from J&K returned empty handed. AAP Leader Deepu Singh said that we are amazed that how, within hours of ordering cancellation of this shipment, the Election Commission of India, issued a fresh order to J&K election officers, now to go back to Gujarat and pick the said EVMs (faulty) and carry them to J&K for use in forthcoming J&K assembly elections. He said that voters of J&K can be cheated by these defected EVMs and added that Omar Govt (NC) bends his knees in front of NDA led government at centre. "Leaders of AAP J&K, have strongly taken up the matter locally while Nishant Varma of AAP in Gujarat, has also communicated with Prithvi Reddy, Incharge for Mission Vistaar (AAP India), who has further informed AAP National for due diligence on the National front, the statement said. |
