Jammu, Sept 2:The All J&K Home Guard Welfare Association today criticized state government for not conceding their demands. According to press release, a meeting of HGWA was held under the chairperson of Kamla Sharma, at Thakur Sabha, Dogra Hall, Jammu where the association showed their resentments against State Government. Speaking on the occasion, Kamla Sharma, said that the Chief Minister Umar Abdullah had promised that he would get our demands ful-filled before the code of conduct, but nothing has been done so far, even in the Assembly Session, no one of any party has taken-up our matter, thus causing great Injustice to the workers of J&K Home Guard. She said, "Our demands are very simple we want the same benefit of our salary and terms and conditions as applicable to the employees of Home Guard of Punjab and other neighboring state."She said that if their demands are not full filled before the elections of J&K Assembly, the employees of the J&K Home Guard will come out in streets and no road from Lakhanpur to the Border areas of Kashmir. The meeting was attended by Pawan Kumari, Smt. Santosh Kumar Kailash Devi, Rakesh Singh, Gopal Dass, Anil Kumar, Krishan Lal, Ved Kumar and others. |
