Women health employees without salary since last year
9/3/2014 1:30:15 AM
Srinagar, Sept 2 : The women health employees in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Tuesday said that they are without salary from last one year. Semi Female Multi Purpose Health Workers (SFMPHW) of Block Kangan said that out of 16 employees, only 3 are being paid. "They are influential and they receive their salary without any problem," the women employees said. "From past one year. We haven't received our salary. We are not influential and that is why we are being overlooked," they alleged.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ganderbal Roshan Din Kasana admitted that the employees are without salary but blamed it on State and Central governments. "There are workers who haven't received salary from past eight months. It is fact. But it is due to the communication gap between state and the center. It is in the final terminal. They will receive it within next 10-15 days," he said. The official, however, denied any discrimination.
