Bail plea of 'Bari Brahmana protestors' rejected | | | Samba, Sept 2: Manzoor Hussain, Munsiff Samba today rejected the bail application of three accused persons who were arrested by the Bari-Brahmna Police in view of their illegal activities. Senior Prosecuting Officer, Raj Kumar pleaded the case before the Court on the grounds that the investigation of the instant case is at its initial stage and moreover since the accused persons were involved in a very heinous case, the weapon of offence is yet to be recovered from their possession. It was also pleaded if these accused persons are bailed out, there would be apprehension of group clashes as well as public/social disorder in the society and definitely hamper investigation of the case as the statements of complainant and his son are yet to be recovered. After hearing the prosecution, Munsiff Court Samba rejected the bail application of the accused persons namely Vinod Kumar s/o Ram Pal, Vikrant Mehta alias Billa s/o Sewa Ram and Mohd Naseem s/o Abdul Majeed, all Rs/O Bari-Brahmna, who were arrested by the Bari-Brahmna Police in Case FIR No. 97/2014 u/s 307/341/148/149 RPC registered at Police Station Bari-Brahmna in view of their illegal activities following which people from Bari-Brahmna area held protest demonstration at Bari-Brahmna and also blocked the traffic on NHW on 19/08/2014. |
