SRINAGAR, Sept 14 : Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Cultural, Youth Services and Sports, Raman Bhalla today conducted an extensive tour to flood hit areas of Srinagar city included Tulsi Bagh, Ramb Bagh, Raj Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Indira Nagar, Dalgate and Lal Chowk area and assessed problems of flood hit areas people. Mr Bhalla assured the inhabitants of areas that government is making all out efforts to provide all basic amenities like shelter, food, relief besides six month free ration to the flood hit families of the state. The Minister asked the Flood Control department officers for dewatering of Srinagar city areas through pump sets so that the people do not face any inconvenience due to clogging of water. He said Army, SDRF, NDRF and district administration is on job to provide all necessary facilities to the flood affected people. |
