Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 14: Those demanding amnesty for stone pelters of Kashmir has been exposed when these anti-national and inhuman stone pelters, at the behest of Pakistan, had attacked rescue teams of the Army and Air Force.
There is a competition among Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and his party National Conference with other Kashmir centric parties to grant amnesty to "innocent" who have been involved in stone pelting incidents. In the just concluded Parliamentary election a resolution was passed to grant amnesty to the stone throwers. Kashmir centric parties were claiming that these stone pelters are mis-guided innocent youth but attack on the choppers of Indian Air Force involved in rescue operations in Srinagar has exposed that these stone pelters are part of the agitation terrorism.
The way stone pelters came out when water started receded has exposed that these stone pelters are terrorists who are using stones as ammunition to spread terror.
After yesterday's incident when some IAF choppers were attacked, people were asking Omar Abdullah and other Kashmir centric parties about their stand on these stone pelters.
Important to mention here that The Jammu and Kashmir government on August 26 had stated that it would soon announce an amnesty for persons involved in stone-pelting incidents and withdraw cases registered against them.
"The state government has decided to grant amnesty to the youths involved in such cases (stone pelting) and withdraw the FIRs registered against them" Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister" Ali Mohammad Sagar said in the Legislative Assembly on August 26.
He had stated that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah would soon announce the scheme. The minister, however, did not give any more details about the scheme. Sagar was replying on a discussion on the issue of amnesty for the stone pelters raised by the opposition.
