| Submerged Srinagar and its adjoining area has severely affected the inhabitants because of unprecedented rains and floods in the Jammu Kashmir state including creating havoc in Jammu region too. The people have lost their lives, property and reached the starvation due to inundation of the localities.
The state governments from the day of previous floods, earthquakes and other similar calamities have not learnt anything or have not taken it seriously to prepare to meet such devastations. For the last nearly six years the speedy encroachments of Jhelum river banks and squeezing lakes by the land mafias perhaps were being hand-glove with the administration and politicians. The squeezed river and lakes could not retain the heavy rains water which spilled and breached its banks to enter in the localities.
The panicky government and administration ran away to protect their lives along their families leaving the people on the grace of God. The CM found he alone confused to run around even desperately dramatizing delivery of relief material from the Airforce chopper. Total collapse of the administration and the coalition government exposes the capacity of CM to hold them to provide government to the state.
The state government had not sent any save signal or requested the centre as the clueless CM was sitting shocked, clueless and helpless. It was the shear good luck of the state that the central government took over the rescue work from the very next day of disaster and proved true nationalist governing when the national Home Minister and PM had personally visualized flooded areas. The Indian Army, Airforce, Navy, BSF, CRPF, NDRF and other their wings were rushed to rescue the marooned people from the flooded areas.
Within hour of the call the brave soldiers rushed to save the human lives from Srinagar zone. The defence personnel saved more than two lakh human lives and still is on job to continue till the last person is rescued. The relief material in shape of food, drinking water, medicine, tents blankets was shifted to the valley which still continues from various sources. The very first day the PM on his aerial inspection day of the valley flooded zone had issued Rs 1000 crore to meet the disaster in addition to the earlier issued Rs 1100 crore for the same work and also took it as national calamity ensuring to meet all other necessities. The entire nation stood behind the cause and started sending relief in shape of cash and material; the other state governments also joined the call of time. This looks a golden period of proven central governing system which missed in the past. None of PM of the last governments had rushed so fast to access and extends saving arm to the doomed people. The entire administration, defense forces and the allied wings deployed by the central government practically proved their mettle. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Soz and Digvijay Singh of Congress had appreciated the forces and centre government for its timely action in protecting the people. PDP and some other valley centric political leaders also expressed their similar feelings. Ghulam Nabi Azad had a U-turn on it and criticized the rescue operation for pick and choose system, perhaps he has to obey his high command that can never digest his earlier made appreciation.
The separatist leaders of Valley who claim to be representative and savior of valley Muslims hid themselves making no call to their so-called followers to work for saving the marooned persons. As the state people started stirring for them they let loose their trained goons to pelt stones on the boats, choppers and army columns to hamper their rescue work. They started looting the tourists, making them raise Pakistan favouring slogans. Boats are being snatched from NDRF among it one is snatched from Lal Chowk where Yasin Malik separatist so-called leader is also practically involved, is this not dacoity? What signal this has for the entire world? These stone pelting boys patronized by the separatists are pushing their valley Muslims to the death by hampering Army rescue operations. Are they human? Are they brethren of valley Muslims? What they are? Though such valley elements have shocked the global human but at the same time the Ministers of state coalition government who ran away from valley and their constituencies where their voters badly needed them dramatized to rush to Delhi to meet PM for flimsy demands. The PM has already treated state devastation as national calamity, he has already issued the funds, deployed the forces to save people lives, already deputed central administrative including MoS of PMO to supervise the rescue operations and the Commander in Chief of Army is also personally looking after the Army rescue work. Then what took state Ministers to nation capital? Are they sent by the CM? Has the cabinet advised them to move? Why they are wasting public exchequer on wasteful journey? Normally one feel that these leaders are trying to hide their cowardly running from valley when people required them to justify that they were on jobs to get more relief for them. It is a fake effort as people are wise enough now to understand every political leaders move. Though the people are cursing the entire politicians but at the same time they are appreciating two Ministers Sham Lal Sharma and Raman Bhalla of Jammu region who stood along the sufferers. The entire state people must understand the attitude of the valley centric leadership, separatist’s designs who are outright enemy of the humanity and valley Muslims in particular. The coming election has an opportunity to oust all these leaders, rejecting the dynastic families and to establish real human loving democratic system. The intelligence agencies should keep an eye over the goons who are trying to hamper live saving works who need to taken task at the appropriate time. Society does not believe the state CM will try to extend amnesty to them nor will others defend these goons.
