JAMMU, Sept 15: Higher Education Minister Akbar Lone has surprisingly been silent over the issue of overstay of lecturers in different colleges here. As 51 out of 101 lecturers continue to hold choice postings for the past over a decade, this strengthens the allegations that a "transfer" industry had taken roots in the Higher Education Department.
According to list furnished by Higher Education Department, Suchitra Saproo posted at WC Gandhi Nagar and Jasbir Singh, presently posted as GDC Poonch, have been staying in Jammu city and Poonch city respectively for the last 17 years, while Suresh Kumar presently posted at GGM Science college, has been staying in Jammu city for the last 10 years.
Poonam Kamotra has been staying in Jammu city colleges for the last 15 years, while Ajay Gupta presently posted at GGM Science College and Naveen Anand presently posted at WC Gandhi Nagar have been overstaying for the last 13 years, while Indu Khajuria posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying for the last 10 years and Sangeeta Sudan, presently posted at MAM College has been overstaying for the last nine years.
Poonam Sharma, presently posted at GGM Science College Jammu has been overstaying for the last 11 years, while Bhushan Kumar Gandotra presently posted at WC Gandhi Nagar and Rashi Gupta presently posted at GGM Science college have been overstaying for the last 13 years and Monika Gupta also posted at WC Parade for the last 9 years.
Moreover, Umer Din Rather, presently posted at GDC Bhaderwah, has been overstaying in GDC Bhaderwah for the last 13 years while Sunil Bhat presently posted at GGM Science college has been overstaying for the last 11 years, Sunit Dam is posted at WC Parade for the last 10 years, Shally Chadda, presently posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying in city for the last nine years.
Anju Raina posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying for the last eight years while Rakesh Singh at WC Kathua for the last 7 years.
Radika Nanda, presently posted at COE Jammu, Pardeep Chib, presently posted at GDC Bhaderwah, Babu Ram posted at GDC Doda, have been overstaying for the last 13 years, while Zamir Ahmad Mirza, posted at GDC Rajouri, Mukhtair Singh Saini, posted at GDC Paloura, Anjli Abrol, posted at GGM Science College, Anju Balla posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Sunanda Rani posted at WC Parade have been overstaying for the last 11 years.
Sweety Verma posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying for the last nine years, while Babita Mahajan posted at GGM Science college has been overstaying for the last 7 years.
Babita Jamwal and Veer Singh posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Vandhna Ghai, Deepali Mahajan and Pooja Nanda posted at GGM Science College, Bhavna Sharma posted at WC Parade, Naseem Ahmad posted at GDC Rajouri, Sunita Kumari posted at GDC Udhampur, have been overstaying in their institutions for the last seven years, while Shradha Anand posted at GGM Science college has been overstaying for the last six years.
