JU professor offers free boarding, lodging to flood affected students 9/16/2014 11:13:37 PM Early Times Report  Jammu, Sept 16 : With hundreds of schools washed away in recent flood fury and thousands of students fraught with difficulties in carrying on their studies, a professor in University of Jammu in a benevolent gesture has offered free boarding and lodging facilities to such students who have been affected due to floods. Dr. Gouri Bajju, professor in the Department of Chemistry has offered free boarding and lodging at her residential premises ‘Sanjeevani’ at Domana, Akhnoor road Jammu. Dr. Bajju who recently joined BJP said that while relief was pouring in for the flood victims from across the country, loss of studies of the students cannot be compensated. “Being an academician, I decided to compensate students who wanted to continue their studies despite damaged schools through this humble initiative” said Dr. Bajju.
