Mobile connectivity playing spoilsport in tracing missing persons

Srinagar, Sept 16 :  Even after more than 10 days since the mobile connectivity went off in Kashmir valley, the private as well as government owned telecom companies have failed to restore the connectivity, causing lot of inconvenience to the people, searching for their relatives.
As per the details available with “Early Times”, thousands of people from adjoining Districts of Srinagar and also from Jammu region has arrived at Srinagar in search of their relatives, near and dears, but due to lack of connectivity, majority of them fail to locate them and are stranded on the roads of Srinagar and also in relief camps. While talking to “Early Times”, several people who arrived at Srinagar in search for their relatives said that due to lack of mobile connectivity, they fail to locate the relatives missing after massive flood furry. They said that mobile companies like BSNL, Aircel, Tata Indicom, Airtel, Vodaphone and other mobile companies fail to restore the services properly.
“I dialed the mobile numbers of my relatives several time and hardly the call goes through--- if call goes through, the voice is not hearable” said a person arrived at Srinagar in search of his brother. The mobile companies even fail to restore internet connectivity in the flood affected areas.
The people urged upon the concern telecom operators to restore the connectivity at an earliest so that the contact between the isolated persons could be established, beside will also help in free flow of information from one place to another person that will ultimately help in expediting the relief and rescue operations in worst affected areas of the state. The people accuses that private telecom companies showed lethargic approach in restoring the snapped mobile and internet connectivity in the flood affected areas of the state. The people also informed the road connectivity across the valley has also been affected badly.
