Kishtwar, Sept 17: Expressing their solidarity with the flood affected people in valley, the district administration Kishtwar led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Javed Khan today dispatched another consignment of relief material to Srinagar via Sinthan Top road. "The vehicles loaded with relief material was collected in coordination with Kishtwar based NGO's and contain all kinds of essential commodities including baby food, 2000 Blankets, LPG cylinders, Kerosene oil, milk, medicine, water, 600 bags of rice and other eatables, a statement said. Meantime in strenuous efforts the authorities made Kishtwar Sinthan road open for traffic in record time and managed the rescue and safe travel of about 950 flood hit victims of district Kishtwar, neighbouring districts besides other states of India from this route. Apart from various initiatives for flood victims, the administration also has established relief camps at Kishtwar town, Chatroo, and Sinthan Top. The rescue task force teams comprising district officers headed by PO DRDA have been deputed to Srinagar for identification and rescue of the Kishtwar based flood effected victims and their due transportation back to Kishtwar. ACD Kishtwar Yasir Arafat Zarger has also been deputed to Srinagar by the administration along with contingents of essential commodities to join 'relief operation' in valley. While dispatching relief loaded vehicles and volunteer to Kashmir DC Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan assured on the behalf of district administration and people of Kishtwar to the flood hit victims/passengers beside ensuring their safe travel to their native place free of cost. |
