YW JKNPP urges State Govt to provide ration, tents to houseless | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 18: Youth Wing Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party today demanded from government to provide ration, tents to the families of rendered houseless who are affected due to flash flood. Accordiing to press release, YW JKNPP State General Secretary Vilakshan Singh said that in the area of Shiba, Nalla, Marh, Gundla and the other adjoining areas affected by the incessant rains. Several houses in these areas have collapsed completely and the inmates therein are forced to spend their nights in the open. The administration has till date not provided any tents to the families which are rendered houseless. Due to the unprecedented rains, which wrecked havoc in the entire state, access to several houses in the above said villages has been curtailed and the people are not able to reach their houses. "Several houses are at the verge of collapse as the protection walls to their houses have already collapsed due to rains. Even ration has not been provided to the families affected by rains", Singh said and added that the electricity and water supply has not been restored in most of the areas and public is deprived of these basic amenities of life even after lapse of several days since the stoppage of rains. |
