Relief, flood compensation in Mahore missing: JKNPP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept.18: JKNPP District General Secretary Mohd Bashir has urged the authorities to speed up work on reopening of roads in Tehsil Mahore which are either washed away or in very bad shape that has paralyzed life in the remote hilly area. In a statement here today JKNPP leader Mohd Bashir said that the civil and army personnel have not reached out rain/flood affected people in Jamslan, Sahdhar, Bathoi, Mala, Tuli, Dubri, Shakri, Gulabgarh, Sajroo, Malas, Jamslan-B villages in Mahore Tehsil. He said, "The Kaccha and some Pacca houses in the villages have either totally damaged are partially caved in as result of which the inmates are facing great hardship to carry on during cold nights." He demanded that relief and rehabilitation measures be undertaken in these villages on priority and people should be provided ration, medicines, blankets and fuel. He further demanded that compensation at par with Srinagar flood victims should be provided to the villages affected households without any discrimination on the basis of region and religion. |
