Jammu, Sept 18: As on one side some troublemakers in Kashmir valley are targeting the rescuers including the Indian army and IAF choppers by pelting stones on them, but on the other hand side the whole India stands firm behind the people of Kashmir at the time of grief, sorrows and pain; through which over 17 lac population of Kashmir division had undergone through after the flood furry hit the state two weeks ago. Weather it was Rs. 2100 crore financial assistance from the union government lead by PM Narendra Modi, relief from states like Gujarat, Himachal, Punjab, Utrakhand, MP, AP and other states, several student organization across the country from all caste and religion are also collecting donations and relief for flood affected peoples of Kashmir and dispatched the same to valley in collaboration with various private airlines from different places.
Student Organization from India's top most Indian University Jawahar Lal Nehru University also collected relief material for Kashmir affected flood peoples which includes medicines, food items, Biscuits, baby food and other essential commodities, beside also contributed 1500 Kgs rice from G3/3 Model Town Delhi. The team comprises of various scholars from the university include Zahoor Ahmed, Nazish, Ifra, Shivangi, Amol, Fayyaz,, Varun, Jaimini, Aqib, Amit Kumar and others.
The team in a well coordinated manner tied up with Kashmir based local volunteer groups who collected the relief material from airport and distributed the same among the needy one. Similarly students of NIMS university Jaipur in Rajasthan comprises of Bilal Bali, Asif Rehman, Thakur Shravan Badyal, Waseem Shah, Hashim Ali, Tauseef Illahi, Tahir Kakadu and Tahir Nakash also collected the donations and purchased 100 blankets, 400 milk packets, 300 pieces of cloths, 1000 candles, first aid kits, medicines, sanitary napkins, Shawls, towels, water bottles and biscuits packets and dispatch the same successfully to Kashmir. The contributors from NIMS University includes VC, Professors and students. All professors, lecturer, masters and teachers association Kishtwar also left for Kashmir from Kishtwar with the team of two specialist doctors and other paramedical staff rush to valley for two days medical camp along with medicines worth Rs. 2 lacs, Yateem Foundation Kishtwar unit also purchase the medicines of Rs. 5 lacs for Kashmir flood victims.
These associations have also established donation centers at Degree College Kishtwar, DIET Kishtwar and Higher Secondary School Boys Kishtwar for collection of donation which will be monitored by the head of these institutes personally. The students across Chenab region are also donating generously for Kashmir flood furry out of its pocket money. The central firms like Dool-Hasti Power station Kishtwar also handed over the relief material and medicines to volunteer groups in Kishtwar through local administration for transportation to Kashmir. There are reports of collection and dispatching of relief material to Kashmir from various universities and institution from across the country. |
