JKHBAJ appeals medicos to provide free medical aid to flood victims

Jammu, Sept 18 (JNF) : An emergent meeting of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu was held today to discuss the post flood measures to be taken in the flood hit areas of the J&K State, which was presided over by its President Sr. Advocate M.K. Bhardwaj and attended by Former Presidents, Senior Advocates and Senior members of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu in which they offered services, support and help to the flood affected victims and also appealed to Medicos to provide free medical-aid to flood affected persons. It was unanimously resolved in the meeting to call upon the state administration to make fare assessment of the loss suffered by the general public in the flood hit parts of the state and make equitable distribution of relief fund/donation etc. received from Govt. of India, different states, corporate Sector, NGO's, Social organizations, School, Private individual etc. No part of the state be discriminated against in fare distribution of relief fund and all attempts should be made at the earliest to reach out to the people who are still inaccessible. Senior Advocates present in the meeting offered their services, support and help to the flood affected victims. The general public is informed that any individual/person can contact the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu on contact no's. 0191-2531111, 094191-36302, 094191-91871 in case any injustice in done to any flood affected person or is denied the relief to which said citizen is entitled to. The President J&K High Court Bar Assocaition, Jammu office bearers and all members of Bar make an appeal to the medicos and paramedical staff of the state to provide free medical aid in the flood affected areas till the normalcy is restored. It is also appealed to teacher community of the state to provide free education to the children affected due to flood, even if they have to take the extra classes.
All Dy. Commissioners, Director School education, CEO's are requested to prepare the lists of the students affected by flood, so that the school dresses/study materials is fairly distributed in the state at the earliest in order to ensure that their education is not hampered any more. All the members of the Bar have offered their services, support and help to the flood affected victims anywhere in the state. The general public, particularly the flood affected are informed that J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu will provide free legal aid and advice to the flood affected victims. Any person desirous of seeking legal aid may contact on the given telephone numbers or personally meet the office bearers of the Bar in the J&K High Court bar Association, Jammu office High Court Complex, Jammu.
