J&K High Court starts functioning from Gupkar | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 19: The J&K High Court has started functioning from a makeshift arrangement at M-5 Gupkar, Srinagar. This was stated by Chief Justice, MM Kumar today. He requested the employees of the High Court to start reporting for duty in view of providing judicial relief to people which he said remained in suspended animation for 11 days. He said the objective is to restore to people the obligation of providing them the fundamental rights. He hoped people would be benefitted by this move and their difficulties would be redressed. Kumar is himself putting up at the top floor of the building as his residential house at Sonawar has become inhabitable. Kumar said the District Court of Srinagar would start functioning from two points. For the areas of North city a temporary court would be established in the Moot court rooms of Law Department of Kashmir University. |
