Udhampur, Sept 19: Army has been conducting Op Megh Rahat in J&K for the past two weeks and has successfully rescued more than 2 lakh people, while giving medical treatment to over 50,000 patients. As per press release, the relief and medical assistance will continue, however all rescue operations have now been called off. Restoration of road network has also been largely completed and efforts continue to improve the trafficability on damaged roads. Op Sadbhavna activities will continue and the troops of Northern Command remain committed to provide support in close synergy with the civil administration and the police |
