Scotland referendum a lesson for Kashmir secessionist leaders who have love for term referendum | Loud and clear message against anti-India forces | | Sandeep Bhat JAMMU, Sept 19: The results of referendum in Scotland might have not gone well with the separatists of Kashmir Valley and their mentors in neighbourhood because majority of the residents of Scotland have rejected secession from United Kingdom. Referendum clear supported that majority population of Scotland want to be part of UK. Those who support separatists ideology are now seemingly thinking other way as the results in Scotland referendum might have shocked the entire separatist sympathizers and those who preach secessionism must be now worried about their existence. The people of Scotland have shown great maturity in rejecting the idea of separate nation and rightly so because in present world, Scotland only can prosper and progress in remaining an integral part of Great Britain. Around 55 pc people voted for Great Britain and only 45 pc voted for independence. Kashmiri separatists must have got disappointed after watching closely the developments which took place in Scotland referendum. Sheikh Shakeel, an advocate by profession said Kashmir is inseparable part of India. Asif Ahmed said that it is a slap on those in Kashmir who support secessionism and the result of Scotland referendum is an eye opener for them. Separatists and fanatic forces of Kashmir Valley has love for the word referendum but today's result of Scotland referendum has shocked them. It is lesson for them because like people of Scotland, residents of Jammu and Kashmir are also mature enough to reject any such demand. It is clear indication that in the present world, every citizenship wants to be part of a big country. Although in successive assembly elections people of Jammu and Kashmir especially those of Kashmir Valley have rejected demand of separation, Scotland's episode has given a clear and loud message of Kashmir separatist leadership.India leadership was quietly hoping Scotland does not break away from the UK and Indian leadership stand was vindicated by result of the referendum. The Scotland referendum could support nationalist forces in Kashmir valley. |
