JKPCS to hold All India Art Camp to collect 'flood relief' 9/20/2014 9:35:35 PM Early Times Report jammu, Sept 20: Executive members of Jammu & Kashmir Poshe Cultural Society (JKPCS), J&K today discussed various issues related to the conduct of its activities during the coming days of the session During the meeting held here today at the office of the Society at Jammu under the direction of Shamim Azad, Patron of the Society discussed various issues related to calendar activities and decided to hold a All India Art Camp to collect relief for the flood affected people in Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days. The meeting was conducted under the Chairmanship of Ms Raj Kumari Magazine, President of the Society and was attended by Kailash Mehra, Vice President, O P Sharma, General Secretary, Smt Sunaina Koul, Treasurer and Usha Magazie, Secretary while U K Handoo, C A, was the special invitee during the meeting. General Secretary O P Sharma in his address apprised the members that the he society will conduct multi-dimensional activities during the session. "The activities include- an All India Painters' Camp w.e.f. 30th September to 2nd October, at Jammu to pay homage to the deceased and to collect relief fund for the flood victims of Jammu & Kashmir. "Twenty artists from across the country including artists of the state will participate in this camp, he added. He said that beside this camp the Society will organize the activities like - a State level Art Exhibition for the artists (in the field of Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Print making and Photography etc.) in the age group of 16 to 40 years; to organize a Felicitation of intellectuals in the field of Art, Literature & Culture; to arrange the Functions of Release of Books by veteran and senior writers; Talent Hunt Programmes in the field of Music, Dance & Visual Arts to recognize the local talent and to provide them platforms at higher level; to organize two operas - one in Dogri and other in Kashmiri; to organize Interactive Sessions and Seminars in different fields etc.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
