Geelani also sought Army's help to survive | Hypocrisy exposed | | Rustam Jammu, Sept 20: Pro-Pakistan separatist and fanatic Syed Ali Shah Geelani, like the self-styled JKLF chairman and murder Yasin Malik, is also alive today because he was saved from his submerged bungalow by none other than the Indian army whom he used to condemn as occupation force and accuse our soldiers of violating the human rights of those involved in anti-India activities. Geelani, who like other separatists and pro-Pakistan agents, is responsible for most of the troubles in the Valley, courtesy successive irresponsible governments in the state, had the temerity to ask the army rescue team to help him save his life. It is remarkable that the army rescue team overlooked all the sins of Geelani and saved his life. It is obvious that the army saved the seditionist considering it its moral duty to save victims of floods without making any distinction between the enemies of the nation and others. It's a different story that the ungrateful Geelani has not uttered a word of appreciation for our young jawans, who risked their own invaluable lives to rescue the trapped people. What this was expected of Geelani, the intolerant and disturber of peace. But Malik has also not commended the role of the army and other forces carrying on humanitarian work day and night since September 7, despite the fact that he also owed his life to the Indian army. Instead of appreciating what the Army did to him and others in the time of grave crisis, he used the opportunity not to render help to the suffering and stranded persons, but to hamper the ongoing rescue and relief work. So much so, he and his goons hijacked a relief boat and didn't spare even an ailing women. Not just this, they made the aggrieved and angry lady cooperate with them in their dirty work. Sadly, Malik got the support from certain sections of the biased media, which sought to create an impression that Malik had been rescuing the stranded people for days. Of course, these biased sections based their stories on the press releases issued by Malik and his men. What, however, is highly intriguing is the fact that even the active members of so-called civil society in Kashmir have neither condemned the inhuman act of Malik nor questioned Geelani's hypocrisy. They have also not hailed the role of the army. On the contrary, stories are being planted here and elsewhere by them to tell the international community that it was basically the youth of Kashmir who staked their lives to rescue the marooned people. A number of nasty essays on floods in Kashmir have appeared in some leading national dailies, all undermining the role of our jawans and giving the whole credit to what they called Kashmiri young men. It is a shameful act on their part. Let them and others of their ilk do whatever they want to do, but the fact remains that Geelani and Malik today stand totally exposed in the eyes of the common people. The common people have finally come to know that Geelani, Malik and others of their ilk are hypocrites of first grade and not their well-wishers. |
