Cub Bilawal gives lion's roar on Kashmir | | | When chairman Pakistan Peoples' Party, Bilawal Bhutto, declared that he intended to take back all of Kashmir since it belongs to Pakistan he had a number of ideas in his mind..And Bilawal has said"I will take back Kashmir, all of it, and I will not leave behind a single inch of it because, like the other provinces, it belongs to Pakistan," He said so with a purpose.First he, possibly, wanted to create added difficulties for Prime Minister,Nawaz Sharif, who is yet to come out of woods on account of civil disobedience movement that was launched by Imran Khan.Nawaz Sharif is yet to be on a firm footing because of machinations by the Army and the ISI.Above all such a fulmination against India seems to be the art of the Bhutto dynasty.Whether Z.A.Bhutto, his grandfather,or his mother, Benazir Bhutto, both of them talked about a 1000 year war against India.Though Benazir had mellowed down and was on the verge of building bridges with India but her plan was cut short when he fell to the bullets of terrorists. And by declaring that Kashmir will be incorporated with Pakistan Bilawal was simply trying to revive the PPP and his political strength. He wanted to do so because he would not only be leading the PPP during the next election'due in 2018,but is also going to be fielded by the party as the Prime Ministerial candidate. Well anything against India sells like hot cakes in Pakistan.Any announcement on capturing Kashmir acts as a music to the ears of millions of people in Pakistan. Except for the 2013 general election, when the contesting parties, especially the PML(N) did neither rake up the Kashmir issue nor fulminated against India, the contesting candidates and parties in other elections were heard talking eloquently on their resolve to get Kashmir back to Pakistan. And Bilawal is aware of peoples' weaknesses and prejudices and hence he touched the most sensitive nerve of people who listened to his speech. In fact he had visited Multan for meeting flood victims. And instead of donating relief in cash and kind he talked about Kashmir and that too at time when Pakistan is faced with grave internal political and economic problems. .Poor GDP growth rate, energy crisis and fall in production in the sectors of industry and agriculture continue to worry the establishment in Islamabad. As far as political problem is concerned it related to growing threat from terrorists. Pakistan is fighting its own war against terrorism, an act like the one Bilawal committed will only create further troubles for both countries. Kashmir is a sensitive issue for both countries with a large number of extremists ready to pick up the gun. Both countries have faced the problems from terrorism. Talking about in such ridiculous fashion just make matters worse and relationships too. Hopefully Bhutto will grow up and realize that because otherwise, he doesn't deserve to be the leader of a Pakistani party, leave alone one of the whole of Pakistan. And if such speeches and statements from political leaders emanate from Pakistan it may scuttle the process of dialogue for which both New Delhi and Islamabad are committed. It is time for Bilawal and other leaders to forget Kashmir and make sincere efforts for promoting political and economic stability of Pakistan.A stable Pakistan is no threat to India. |
